Tu B'Av Chocolate Making with Culinary Combo
Celebrate the Jewish Day of Love, Tu B’Av, with NEXTGen Detroit, Chabad of Greater Downtown Detroit and Hillel of Metro Detroit by creating some super sweet chocolatey treats! Jodi Polk of Culinary Combo will show us how to transform a couple of our favorite everyday snacks into chocolate covered works of edible art. We’ll also learn some fun facts about the holiday of Tu B’Av, which falls on August 5th this year, including how it made its way on the Jewish calendar so many years ago and how it’s celebrated today.

Register in advance by Friday July 31 to have your chocolate making kit delivered to your home. Note: Delivery is only available in the Metro Detroit area.

Kits are certified kosher parve and are $5 each.

Kits to make chocolate covered pretzels and cookies-and-cream truffles include:
• Meltable white chocolate
• Meltable dark chocolate
• Bag of pretzels
• Bag of cookies

You will want to have on hand the following kitchen equipment/food items:
• Cream cheese (you can use dairy-free cream cheese to keep things parve)
• Mixing bowls
• Mixing spoon or spatula

This online event is intended for young adults ages 18 to 45.
